Out Of The Office Message

The Staff of Unholy Rouleur will out of the office for the next two hours to ride circles on a fixed gear at Hains Point and around town in the cold weather and high wind to test whether there are any suitable locations in Washington D.C. for a senseless, dangerous, crit-like finish to the proposed 2012 Giro d'Italia opener. We will return when we feel damn good and ready to do so and will continue to meet your cycling humor blog needs at that time.

If you need to contact us about your unmet cycling humor needs, please leave a message in Comments, below. If it's an emergency, please see Drunk Cyclist, who has an emergency supply of fanboy drooling, arcane humor and angry rants available.

Thank you. We appreciate your consideration and look forward to serving you during normal business hours.

oh that wind was unpleasant; I was mid interval when I went by or I would have slowed down

I figured that, or perhaps with your size that the wind had captured you. I only did about 4 laps but it took close to an hour. The fixie is also rigged to go about 16 at 90 RPM, so the legs were burn-ey. Still great to be out there though after two months of a complete lack of riding.

Now see, if I had known you were going that early, I would have shagged my fat ass out of bed to meet you.

Word.

down wind was definitely preferable; like piglet on a blustery day ;-)
