Profile of a Recovery Ride: 63 minutes. Average Power: 178 watts. NP: 179 watts. Intensity Factor: .552. Training Stress Score: 32 points. I've had *sleep* that was lest restful than this ride.
'Fraid it's going to be a tougher ride than that tomorrow morning.
Charm City is coming up on Sunday. There are a few registration spots left. Come on out and join the fun. Even if you aren't racing, come and check out the scene. Charm City Cross is a total carnival, a great day of racing and cameraderie set in a beautiful urban park. It's one of the two or three showcase cross races of the year. You come to this race, you'll leave knowing what cross is all about.
The new Coppi cross/MTB/winter training kit is in. It looks spectacular. Well done, Giacomo! The rest of you people will see it on the road, mostly on the Sporca Azzuri.
Big announcement about Coppi / Tacchino Cross venue and details coming up later this week. Stay tuned.
And now, for no apparent reason, other than I think you'll find it weirdly fascinating, a Kafkaesque Gnarls Barkley remake of an awesome Violent Femmes song, Gone Daddy Gone.
Gnarls Barkley "Gone Daddy Gone"
If that little slice of Gnarls got you down... well, you need another dose of Gnarls to pick you right back up. Check this out and tell me if it's not the musical equivalent of Red Bull in Vodka - pick you up and make you feel good all over at the same time.

I was wondering if you'd be at Charm City. Now I know who to root for, though if he's there I'll also be giving shouts out for Morgan Gerlak.
Thanks for the tunes this morning, I'm ever so slowly becoming a fan of the Gnarls. Gotta get me some one of these days.
What if a guy wanted to, say, load up a Big Dummy with beverages, park his truck around 10-15 miles out, and then ride to Druid Hill park to watch the race? Is there a decent route? I ask as a guy who knows jack squat about riding bikes in Baltimore.
KaliDurga - it's always great to have fans at the races. I'll be the fat guy with a red face, sweating.
RTW - I'm not sure about it. I'm positive there's a way in. Have you hit up the MORE boards to ask? I bet there's somebody there who would know.
Jim - Thanks. I posted on a thread in which cbass himself is participating. I will share any good info I get.
cbass will know. Without a doubt. Like Thoreau and Walden, he has ridden extensively in and around West Balmer.
At least you won't be as muddy as when I saw you race at Ed Sanders last year, Jim. Though if this year is like the C3 race in '07, you'll be dusty as hell.
Does anyone know what sort of 'extras' will be around the course this year? There was coffee in '07 and I saw mention of a beer garden this year, but I don't consume either of those. Will there be food, perchance?
KD - Chris says they are going to have food there. I'm sure it will be good.
