I think I saw Bryant's featured on one of those Travel Channel Best BBQ in the USA or somesuch. If I remember correctly it triggered a late night fridge attack, which never matches the real Mccoy.
Newt - I steered my colleagues onto the burnt ends sandwich, and another onto the smoked ham. I picked from their plates.
Johnny - I used to eat there all the time when I lived out this way. The real deal was a couple pounds of mixed meat for a tailgate party, pre-Chiefs game. It's damn good stuff. Gates' is also pretty spectabular.
I ate a small dinner tonight because I could not possibly have eaten a large one. Did I need to point that out?

What no burnt ends? Either way, I'm jealous.

that's the kind of thing that makes me want to start eating meat again.

They have cyclocross practice down by the Plaza on wednesday nights....
I visited my sister (in Ft. Riley 2 hrs west) and we drove into the city for the hell of it, but mostly to stop by Arthur Bryant's. Great place!
(and the word verification on this comment... CHOKE)
I will be there for the Cowboys/Chiefs game, and you had better believe we will be tailgating there.
