One of his readers, Hammerhed, pretty much wins the comment thread with the first comment, asking:
You guys make it appear so effortless and natural that the only real question is why everyone doesn’t do it.Um, that'd be because it actually isn't effortless and natural and the reason JP and his buddy make it look effortless is because they are effing great riders, and because you need to be a great rider to make it happen like that, everybody *can't* do it.
Silly comment, but a win's a win, I suppose.

hehe, shouldn't the title of this post be "Powersful"? :-)
I need a bit of that skill. On the velodrome it would save me about $1200 a season. Never underestimate the fiscal benefits of being able to bunnyhop the head or torso of a fallen opponent.
Even those that can pull off the hops start to have trouble at the end of the race. And untangling yourself from your bike and from those who you wiped out (both participants and spectators) winds up costing more energy than running over the barriers.
Botched
P.S. I do 'cross on a pugsley and just ram the barriers. On the first lap, I'm right up in the lead pack, but after the that, when everyone else can just ride through the knocked-down barriers, the pugsley is a touch slower than the 'cross bikes.
Bunny hop the head or torso?! Obviously you haven't been to the Walden School of bike racing where they teach you to ride over the neck - smallest area on the body!
