Rest Day

I recommend you take at least one day of complete rest, and one day of active recovery per week. Rather than skip an actual workout, feel free to use this as your rest day.

I wonder if Chris Carmichael would approve of the light smattering of ride days that I sprinkle throughout my high intensity resting.

Mike, I think Chris Carmichael would probably disapprove about pretty much everything you do on a bike. Unless you paid him $500 a month for self-improvement lessons. In which case he could probably help.
