Here's the rundown:
- Monday - rest day.
- Tuesday - bike commute, zone 2, and a nice 20 mile spin on the way home, for about 45 miles on the day.
Now it gets ugly:
- Wednesday - cancelled my AM ride and watched the toddler for a couple hours so that my wife could sleep in late. (Stupid on my part). Tried to raise the subject of going for a ride later in the afternoon, arguing that my thoughtfulness in the morning justified my going for a ride later in the day. Amount of traction that argument got: X, where X is any number less than zero. So here's a graphic representation of my moods lately.
Counter-clockwise, from the top left, the moods are:
"Hey, I'm a little irritated, but I can go a day without a ride." (Wednesday).
"What the hell, man! Tokyo's gonna pay if this shit keeps up." (Thursday)
"That's it! I'm getting a serious case of the ass." (Friday)
"Where's Rodan? I'm gonna kick his ass. Mothra's too! Bring it!" (Today).
You don't want to know what I'm going to look like tomorrow.
[Update: I think Sainted Wife might actually be riding the Seagull, rain, breeze and all. She may be tougher than me. Frightening.]

Was a good - if rather tough - Seagull. Good on her for doing it.
I'm about to chew my way through a brick wall. I haven't ridden for 13 straight days and it's going to have implications beyond my receding health real soon.
The next 11 days sees fully 45% of all the assessment pieces for my entire semester fall due. My head hurts. Then I have a 3 week prac teaching at a local high school. Then... no classes until late February. That'll be 2 hours a day on the bike minimum. Unless job 1 or 2 or 3 gets in the way. Or some trivial family thing crops up. Like summer school holidays.
